Technical Assembler (Netherlands, Dutch speaking)

Help build the future of fish migration and water management technology. We are looking for a technical assembler who prepares Fish Lifts ready for installation at our customers' sites.

About Vislift

Vislift is a globally unique company. At Vislift, we work together with our enthusiastic team of hard workers full of passion to build the future of fish migration and water management technology. Our Fish Lifts are advanced systems that guide fish safely and efficiently through barriers in the water — equipped with AI monitoring, smart sensors and customer-specific controls. We are a driven team that combines engineering with a love of nature. And we are growing. Do you have the hands and the head to install and maintain our systems nationally and internationally? Then we are looking for you.

What will you do?

As a technical assembler, you are the link between engineering and an installation-ready system. You work on complete Fish Lifts that can be installed plug-and-play directly at the customer's site. In addition, you pitch in wherever needed — in the warehouse and on location at the customer's site or in the field.

  • Assembly of Fish Lifts — you install various electronic sensors, AI fish-monitoring systems and control components according to customer-specific specifications.

  • Setting up the control system — you configure and optimize the control system, so every Fish Lift is ready for plug-and-play installation on site.

  • Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) — after assembly you carry out the FAT and report your findings, ensuring quality and functionality are guaranteed before delivery.

  • Goods handling — you process incoming and outgoing goods and ensure correct handling in the warehouse, including operating the forklift.

  • On-site support — when needed you assist the service technician with installations and maintenance at the customer's site.

What do you bring?

  • A completed secondary technical education in electronics (MBO level 3 or 4). Just graduated? We warmly invite you to apply as well.

  • Experience with electrotechnical assembly and wiring. Mainly gained this during your education, internship or a work-study program? That counts too.

  • Affinity with sensor technology and/or control engineering (PLC, I/O, communication protocols).

  • You work precisely and in a structured way and can understand and follow technical drawings and specifications.

  • A valid forklift certificate is a nice bonus, but not a must. Don't have it yet? You can obtain it with us.

  • Experience carrying out or supervising acceptance tests (FAT/SAT) is a plus.

  • You can work both independently and in a team, and you're not afraid to ask questions or come up with solutions yourself.

  • You're curious about new technology. You see AI and smart monitoring as interesting developments you'd like to learn more about.

  • You have a passion for nature (restoration) and enjoy working both indoors and outdoors.

What do we offer?

  • Please note that this position is based in the Netherlands (the work location is the Netherlands).

  • For this role we seek a Dutch-speaking candidate. Good command of Dutch is therefore required.

  • A role at an innovative company that applies technology to nature restoration.

  • A good salary that matches your knowledge, experience and the responsibilities of the role.

  • Salary indication of €3,000 - €3,500 per month (Full-time)

  • Good pension scheme.

  • Room for your own input and growth — you help refine the way we work.

  • A small, involved team where your work directly contributes to the end product.

  • An informal, people-focused work environment with short lines and plenty of room for your own initiative.

  • A lot of responsibility and trust to work independently and think along about improvements.

  • An enthusiastic and engaged team where collaboration, initiative and enjoying the work are central.
